Essex Card Shop is a retailer selling notebooks, planners, notepads, and writing accessories.

How We Choose Products

The products we carry reflect a straightforward approach to stationery: materials are specified, construction is documented, and formats are chosen for practical use. A notebook lists its paper weight. A planner shows its layout before you buy. A pencil sharpener comes with a replaceable blade.

Notebooks & Journals

Our notebook range includes the Fig Notebook 101, a compact A6 journal made from 100gsm Original Gmund paper sourced from Germany, bound with natural cotton thread that allows the book to open flat at 180 degrees. The Caprice Note series features exposed thread binding with alternating colored page sections — grey, pale yellow, and sprout green in the Pistachio edition; pale green and sky blue in the Light Blue edition — designed to help users separate notes by topic within a single book.

Planners & Notepads

For planning, we carry the Flat Notepad series in A4 and A5 formats, each available in monthly, weekly, and task-based layouts printed on 80gsm paper with micro-perforated edges. The Life Pad Planner A5 offers daily, weekly, and monthly formats on the same paper stock, bound at the top for easy sheet removal.

Writing Tools & Accessories

Our writing tools include HB graphite pencils made from sustainably sourced basswood with a hexagonal barrel, a solid beechwood manual pencil sharpener with a replaceable carbon steel blade, and PVC-free shaped erasers from the OIMU Kkureogi collection. Smaller accessories — the Life & Pieces Memo Bookmark Set and Somsom Mini Sticky Memo — are designed to fit into existing stationery routines without adding bulk.
